Rachel Bilson is just one celebrity joining in TOMS “One Day Without Shoes” cause on April 10, as she’s seen in this exclusive Cambio photo.
The TOMS “One Day Without Shoes” campaign gets the support of celebrities every year (check out this Cambio video from last year to see who was involved), who join the effort to raise awareness about children in need of shoes.
This year, the “One Day Without Shoes” event includes Bilson, Armie Hammer, Heather Morris, Chris Pine, Gillian Zinser, and Julia Jones, along with many others, who will go without shoes on April 10.
TOMS asks that you go barefoot for the day to support the “One Day Without Shoes” effort, with the goal to get people to be involved and thinking about how to make the world better.
TOMS’ founder and chief shoe giver Blake Mycoskie created the One for One shoe concept, explaining that “with every pair of shoes someone purchases, a pair of new shoes will be given to a child in need.”
Mycoskie explained the One Day Without Shoes campaign: “This movement is about raising awareness and asking people to do something – anything – without shoes. We are so eager to see the world’s participation this year. So, do what you normally do – just without shoes and help start the conversation.”
The press release explains: “On Tuesday, April 10, TOMS will ask the world to go without shoes for its annual One Day Without Shoes event. This is the day each year that TOMS raises awareness of the impact a pair of shoes can have on a child’s life. Last year, people went without shoes at over 1,000 events in over 25 countries around the globe.”
TOMS asks everyone to participate, noting that taking off your shoes can raise awareness about the millions of children who are exposed to injury and disease because they don’t have proper footwear.

Seventeen: Which sunglass trends are you loving for spring?
Rachel Bilson: I keep seeing bright neons. I just think it’s cool and it’s kind of retro in a funky way. I like it!
17: Which type of frames looks best on different face shapes?
RB: It really varies. I have a smaller face, so the Wayfarers work because they are a small frame. If you want to try big ’60s frames, you kind of need an angular face and a good nose.
17: What’s your biggest tip when it comes to shopping for sunglasses?
RB: Try anything on. You never know what they will look like until you put them on your face.
17: You have the BEST hair — what products do you use to style your waves and what’s the secret to getting your look?
RB: There is some stuff that I love and swear by. Davines’ shampoo and conditioner are really good. Frederic Fekkai’s Summer Hair Beach Waves spray is awesome!
17: How do you perfect your signature smoky eye?
RB: I do like a slightly smoky eye! I usually wear eyeliner on the inside and smudge it underneath which kind of helps. I also use a darker shadow in the crease.
17: What’s it like working with Jamie King on Hart of Dixie?
RB: We don’t work together that much because our story lines don’t cross that often, but we were friends before the show.
17: Your characters have such different style. Have you ever wanted to switch outfits?
RB: I really like the vintage thing. it’s very proper and I think I’m a little too laid back for that style, but I admire it!

What’s on your spring shopping wishlist?
I want a few cute short skirts that I can wear with chunky boots, and some cozy tee shirts. I’m always on the prowl for comfortable fabrics.
What’s your can’t-live-without-it item in your closet?
Hands down, my Ray-Ban Wayfarers!
What are your spring staples, other than sunglasses?
Wide brimmed hats. They are super glamorous and so key in sunny Los Angeles.
What style of sunglasses should every girl own?
Every girl should own two pairs. One formal pair for when you are feeling ultra-glamorous and one more casual pair for the every day.
You’re a self-professed shoe lover. What are your wear-with-everything kicks?
My Chanel boots are my favorite go-to shoes. They’re so easy to wear with everything and make your feet feel so stylish.
What five things do you always have in your purse?
Dr. Pepper lip smackers, pack of gum, Dr. Dre Beats, a scarf, and my Ray-Ban Wayfarers.
